"Time will tell if the focus will narrow in the course of time." Ha ha ha ... I let this act as a preable to the rather free-style writings in this blog. Mostly casual observations in real life and media, some sports, even self-ridiculing attempts at poetry;)

Back in business of LOVE, after a while

An old lady in a train from London Victoria, wearing glasses with have heart-shaped lenses, which you would be at first hard-pressed to notice as her habitus was otherwise ordinary, even bordering boring. (No, it was not Valentine's day - or the April Fools day)

A father driving on a residential street, in my estimate 50 miles an hour (read vroooom fast), with a screaming yellow "baby on board" sign in the rear window [no, i did not have time to see if there was indeed a baby on board]. Oh those (busy, loving fathers ...

Apologies. Due to public demand (ok, Darren pointed it out;), continuation to this series.

Indeed, I had a very good one for this over a month ago but my perfectionism kind of prevented me putting it up.

Someone (a guy) had plastered leaflets on bus stops etc in my area declaring his love to a lady. Actually, it seemed the lady had dumped him, perhaps due to perceived infidelity. Anyway, in his declaration text to the lady something like this stood out: "When John [as ok name for a lover as any] said to Evelyn [same applies as to John. Hey, I'm not after social porn here, am I!?] on the step outside her home that he loves her from the bottom of his heart, he was telling the truth." How sweet. Or has the time given a golden lining to the memory ... Indeed, what is sure is that he included the photo of him with the girl.

Tell me about guarding your territory ... and indeed, I think the bloke was talking about himself in the third person as well ...

About the perfectionism? I wanted to take a photo of this leaflet to include for your admire. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond me it was not possible to include what might have been the most compelling photograph of this blog so far. The leaflet was not there anymore when I got there with my camera some days afterwards.

Instead, you may admire a flower I photographed in the Kew Gardens. But ain't that sweet, too?

It's nearly three weeks now since I started this series. No wonder songs containing lyrics such as "Love's all around ..." are not the compulsory listening these days. But I will continue to keep my eyes open.

I promise at least one act of love before the holidays ...

At least after the holidays, anyway

"What can you do?", an anonymous man in his twenties dressed city-style in a long overcoat coming out of Venus table dancing club opposite Merrill&Lynch at Farringdon roadfully nude, £10 if you have to know) at Farringdon Road says (even more worryingly to me, as if i was some kind of a morale police [or am i?])
Another day, in the paradise, eh?

Acts of love is a series in style of Lars Von Trier's dogma (unashamedly). What makes it different is that an act of love is something - often a very fleeting and unexpected moment - which could be difficult to capture on camera without staging (or you would need a lot of luck to do it). I will update this series whenever i encounter new acts of love.
